EPA Launches New Spanish Web Site Contact: Lina Younes 202-564-9924 / younes.lina@epa.gov

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has launched a new consolidated
Spanish Web site as part of its ongoing effort to provide environmental
information both in Spanish and English.

The new site compiles EPA’s Spanish language materials on a wide variety
of areas from lead poisoning prevention to controlling asthma triggers,
recycling to proper management of pesticides. The site was developed
through a series of focus groups to respond to the environmental needs
and interests of Hispanics.

In addition to environmental health information, the site also offers
educational resources for students and teachers who often seek Spanish
language learning tools on the environment. The site also provides
information about EPA grants, small business opportunities and
environmental jobs at EPA.

If you want to learn french you'll have to go further east, nicer people to be found in New Brunswick, some in Nova Scotia (& Cape Breton), I try to avoid that Quebec place. Even got a speading ticket there on my Honeymoon cause I was trying to make Edmunston NB before we got a hotel. Miserable QPP dragged both of us out of the car looking for a radar detector, ba--ards....

This I don't deny, and I paid the ticket despite peers and mentors suggesting I don't because Quebec wouldn't chase me down in ontario(true?) I accept(ed) the responsiblity, I just don't care for the province. I feel more welcome 6000km across the pondin another country than 6hrs down the 401 in my own country.
