New England TCC

Saddles and other apparatus will be judged on site at inspection to see where it fits into the accepted industry standards(in our case the 2006 Z) and are free of modifications not approved in writing by the manufacturer. I have been told by a judge previously that I could not use a Petzl Vertex Vent because the standard sticker had fallen of during the sweaty summer heat- c'mon. We will be inspecting by the standards from a safety standpoint judging each item independantly, just like special techniques. Maybe Mahk will see this post and link it to the Cocoon post, and chime in with his experience. There will be no shortage of experience at this comp from the judges and techs- but Mahk, Chisohlm ,and whoevers opinions are welcomed. If youre inspecting you gear as you should and using safe techniques, you should be fine in Maine.

Make sure your gear is stamped 22.24 KN or don't bring it please. I will post a Friday night inspection time @ the hotel for those interested. Many, many, many prizes. I was stunned when I heard them all.

Oh meye gawd... TONS of prizes! Bill Conn, the TCC Chair and many others assisted with getting prizes this year. Major kudos for such efforts. For those who ever thought they might want to give it a shot...New England's is the place to try! GEAR BOMB, snicker (says the tree gurl sitting under the decorated trees of ribbons). :)

For those interested the NEC-ISA created a program for the day. Please feel free: http://www.newenglandisa.org/NECISA_TCCProgram2008.pdf

We have 26 in the men's division and FIVE in the women's!!

Eutopia... :)

As always americans are behind the times with gear. Youre trying to tell me the saddles from Europe are NOT safe to use? Thats a joke! ISA oughta get their SH** together!

Sequoia and TreeMotion are in- not out. I was referring to hardware like biners, 8's, and pulley's primarily. The prizes are crackalackin. Slings and ropes @ 5,0000. Havin fun now, can't wait for Saturday!! I feel you B Bull, the human form starts having organs move to places thay con't belong at 12kn, so we could be deemed excessive at 22.24kn. Maybe stupid Americans should unite and challenge the system- bring it in line wit hthe Euro standards. Personally I haven't spent enough time comparing standards.

Beautiful, that's all I can say. Justin D and Marcy G get the honors. The Mens Masters was settled by 1.3 points difference! Over 10k in prizes. The ocean, the fog and mist, the comaradirie. And how can you beat an Iraqi 16th Birthday party dance off for background music? Mucho kudos to the competitors- all 31- and the judges- all 20+. I had more fun here than at any other comp that I have ever been.

New England Chapter Rachs.
