I'd really like to try out that new one.sorry for any confusion , I meant the HH is about to be obsolete not the tender. Maybe obsolete isn't the correct word, maybe no longer available would be more concise.

It does but that heat is somewhere around 500F if I remember correctly.
Just curious as to why there is electrical tape on ur rope Richard. Just covering the whipping twine? Here is one way I was doing it when I was using the hitchhiker more.
The pinto, shakle and swivel combined very well.
To be completely honest, I don't think twice about signing a waver with the BDB or the RR if I had one. I believe the zigzag should have a waver over these two... Just today, I saw a photo on fb of a zigzag that was cracked in 3 spots after 12 hours of use. I read some comments of die hard zigzaggers admit that they are thinking twice about them now.The hh can setup to work really will with pulley and original biner.
I once screwed my shackle on the wrong side. I found it loose when return to the gound and that put a end to shackle stuff for me. I know that it will not be midline detachable. As far roperunner and bdb, signing a wavier and the price does not compute with me.
A waiver for a safety device = crash test dummy, I don't think so, homie don't play that!
I trust my life to bolts, nuts etc. that are property tightened all the time. Not that I don't wish there was a better shackle design available.Red loctite is released by heat. The pin of a shackle will get hot on a long descent. I'd be leery of trusting my life to this application.
Yep, and the band is to keep the wide eye...tight.Just curious as to why there is electrical tape on ur rope Richard. Just covering the whipping twine?
Jeeeze ML, how do you remember the temp of red thread lock?It does but that heat is somewhere around 500F if I remember correctly.
The bit here is a 3/4" D. two blade cutter in a 1/2" router. It did a nice job, but I'm going to change it out for something less aggressive. If you decide to use a set up like this for whatever reason, please exercise extreme caution! It's quite powerful and it could cause very serious injury. There are safer ways to go about it.
Hey Kris,Lookin good can't wait to get my hands on one.
Thanks, ML!Damn fine looking work there.
Good point, Hammer. While you're using it that wouldn't be a problem, but a vehicle closed in the summer gets like an oven. Maybe keep it in your lunch cooler?Kydex is an incredible product. However, in dead of summer heat (direct sunlight) or left in a hot work truck. It will deform!!!! I have been using it for years. I have made over 1000 knife and gun sheaths with it. Just about its only enemy is heat!!!
