Need a tree ID

This tree a swamp maple some people called a red maple from what I hear. What is this next tree. I thought it was a swamp maple also but the bark different.

Bark character alone does not make for a good ID.
What helps is: 1- overall canopy shape 2- close up of twig and bud arrangement 3- any fruit flowers or leaves.

Okay when i get back out there i will take a picture of the buds an canopy. I work fot the county these trees are near the road i will get more pictures. Thank you

Which one first or second or both

I believe both but could be wrong

First one looks like silver maple, second looks more like red (swamp) maple.

However, I've noticed with red maples in particular the bark can be quite different depending on maturity, and even varies on different parts of the same tree.
