Mark C and Tod K both gave great talks today... Boston was the center of the tree universe for a day!

We did... You were talking to Chris at the front of the room after Tod's talk... I did not realize it was you until someone told me later on... Oh well... It's a small world, we'll cross paths again I am sure!

Hahaha, ouch! There were probably 100 or so in the room... The front row was not the best seat in the house, though!
 
Kramers talk was great. And of course I looked forward to Marks talk all day and then my ride decides they want to get going at 3 to beat traffic! D'oh! Nice seeing and meeting everyone!
 
Mark, it was great to see you again. Last time we chatted in person was in Montreal at the ITC. That was when, 2003?

Bummer on the Ride Jeff. I left when Mark finished around 1520. Still took me almost 2.5 hours to get to Concord, NH.

The Chisholm and Kramer talks were great. Only problem I had with them was I wish my crew had heard them!

Also I'm going to send NEG a suggestion that they not schedule the ISA CEU classes concurrently.

I would have loved to attend all of them this year but they had two scheduled at the same time on Thursday and nothing else all day long.

And yesterday they doubled them up again leaving the middle period empty.

At least they didn't overlap the Cranes and Rigging sessions

Tom, perhaps we'll see each other at TCIA in Hartford!

I saw Chris had is avatar and screen name on his badge, I had my buzz badge. Hopefully they will work better as we get more to give it a go.

Meantime, lets think about setting up a meet and greet at TCIA!

I'll be in Hartford this year and of course I'll have my Buzz avatar badge on, so I look forward to seeing you guys again, as well as meeting new faces.
 
Not to be jaded, NE Grows is great, but personally I was even more so blown away by TCIA expo in Hartford my first year to all this tree stuff. Can't wait for it to come back this fall!
 
I just don't think they are the same animal at all. Tree Care Industry trade show vs. Green Industry trade show... I love NE Grows, don't get me wrong, but it's not geared towards tree care, it is way more general.

The trade show was definitely broad spectrum but it did a great job of opening my eyes and reintroducing me to the other aspects of the green industry.

If you go into it knowing it is not just a tree show it can be a great show.

I'd love to see some of the other sessions put forward for ISA ceu's though. there were some ipm and phc offerings that did not carry the ISA CEU designation. In the BCMA realm the ceu's for management and science leave a lot of room for some of those sessions.

That's what I heard too....Hopefully someday, we'll get him. Many, many people would love to hear Gerry speak.
