My WOD

Thanks for the suggestion! Once I get to know my way around, I will definitely give the 300 a whirl.

Been doing the 300 now for a month 2x a week. Gets better and better! I think i will do it even 3x a week before the comp. Just wondering how will i fit in there the extra practice for FL and throwline cause they are my worst disciplines...

Create a schedule for FL like any workout. I would do the workout in AM and FL in PM or the other way around depending on my mood.

Who else here does yoga? I did the whole working out thing on top of work and it would just wear me out and dull my performance the next day at work. I started yoga a couple times a week and now do it everyday and it's been a game changer. My flexibility in my legs makes them my greatest tool for work positioning in the canopy and my lower back problems are to a minimum. I still do some push ups and squats through out the day but yoga has totally stepped my game up as a production climber.

What's the 300? Looking to get in better shape for the upcoming season.

Never done it, but this is what I found:

“300 Workout”
25 Pull-ups
50 Deadlifts 135/95#
50 Push-Ups
50 Box Jumps 24/20″
50 Floor Wipers 135/95# (see video below. Feet to left plate, feet to middle , feet to right plate, then down = 1 rep.)
50 Single-Arm Kettlebell Clean-and-Press 35/25# (Start each rep on floor, 25 each arm) *Use very little (to no) power from the legs on the press.
25 Pull-Ups

How do you guys do the excercises? Crossfit style (in some videos pullups seem to be more like wild swings) or watching the form when doing the exercises?

So I had my first meet, bench and deadlift only. I wasn't expecting to place well since this will be my first year lifting competitively so I didn't check the standings.

I benched 235 with 5 or 10 lbs left in the tank, and pulled 415 with a other eater 10lbs left in me. I was dissapointed I left weight on the platform, but I broke personal records and gained alot of experience so I was pretty happy.

I'm gunning to pull 415 for 3 when this training block is over, wish me luck!

I don't mean to take away from your achievement (I can't deadlift 415 myself yet, just cracked 405 a while ago) but the very first day I brought my boss to the gym he could deadlift 4 plates. Tree care will definitely get you into shape!

For me it's yoga, gym, work, and on the weekends I'll do whatever I feel like, weather depending. Skiing, kayaking, acroyoga, rockclimbing (indoors for now), cycling, hiking ... I'm addicted to moving

415 isn't that strong in the strength athletics world.

What'd your boss weigh?
