And here I am wanting to go from the 13100 to a 38124. I feel so small!. That is beautiful. NASA is gonna want you to put satellites in orbit for them. Pretty sure that beast can outreach my golf swing too!

Say, whereabouts in NJ are you? I'm from Bloomingdale. Started working at Bartlett out of Paterson in 1978. Then worked for Timberland in Towaco until I moved to Florida in 1983.

One twenty?!?! C'mon jo! Sixty five if all counterweighted up. Not sure what there weight restrictions are running down the road. Maybe they'll do fiddy ton ....

Nice crane. Need a climber/operator? Got my A too ...

Really nice. Congrats. Saw you guys in Northfield doing storm work down the block from us. You guys run some nice equipment.

Freakin awesome! The wheel configuation is interesting, looks like that thing will be fitting into some tight spots.

This is a different crane than the terex you were going to buy a while back, isn't it??

Do tell more about The Beast.

Cory, I think I would have made a big mistake buying the 9000. I was origionally looking at the grove 3055 and thought for almost the same money I could get an even bigger crane, the 9000. The 3180 wasn't available at the time nor brought to my attention by the sales rep. This is the first 3180 to come to the states that I am aware of, and I'm sure more will follow.

After reviewing lots of jobs we did, we all decided that the 3180 would be a better fit here getting in to tight places that we have trouble or even cant get into with our 50105. We have lots of issues with our 50105 with our rear tag axle backing into any incline, not to mention the chassis is pretty long as well and can be tough to back in certain places. Also I now have 164' of main boom vs. 105' which will be huge. Even though we have a 50ton, the 65ton because of its counter weights gives us close to 3 times the amount of capacity when reaching say 80ft and so on.

164' of main boom is ridiculous!!!! How does this crane compare to a 3055, is it similar chart but maybe less money to purchase??

That crab steering is gonna be the cat's azz for getting into tight spots quickly. And it probably has the small footprint too..

In the photo it is sitting off of its suspension. With a touch of a buton it jacks right up for road travel. Even neater is you can jack it higher in front or back it your going into a steep grade. I was really impressed when the sales rep showed me that. Good eyes brendonv, thats the first thing I noticed when I pulled up to it, and I immediately voiced my concern. Sales rep said this thing has all the bells and whistles! He was right.

I bet you are going to get rid of your 50t...105' of boom is way too short, now.

It comes with a double jib, that looks radical too.
