mw-ISA

How many states does MW ISA cover? Why are there not state specific ones? Ohio, PA, MI, KY...all the surrounding states where I live have their own chapters.

Bonner,

Its a lot of work to organize and operate an ISA Chapter. If there is lots of space and low population it is a real challenge.

MW is, I think:

N/S Dakota
Nebraska
Kansas
Oklahoma
Missouri
Arkansas
Iowa

Look at the Rocky MOuntain Chapter:

Border to border...New Mexico to Montana! Thin population and pretty divergent tree care considerations.

Wow, thats crazy. Thanks for the info Tom. We are lucky to have an economy and geography that is geared towards tree care where I live.

Opps !
PA does not have a stand-alone chapter.
It is Penn-Del.

New England Chapter includes all of those states.
Southern Chapter is also large.

Ya southern
We had one female first time competitor Theresa sorry don't remember last name she did great all day master's just got her. I expect her to qualify next year.

Toppins and Matt Starks are the only two guys I know whose smiles have their own zip codes.
The venue was better than any I've ever seen at a chapter event and the people were all world class.
Same venue next year. Count me in. See you all in Toronto!

ONLY ONE? 1 female climber in seven states?!? Come on ladies - step up, push the education to the young uns, maybe even high school age. There's room in this industry for more gals, some have proven to be better than the guys, I won't name names, but one of my favorite BCMAs/Jedi Master is a woman - she's smart, cool, and climbs like a machine. MSA rules!

The Mid-West had the top placed female climber from the USA after the 2010 ITCC in Chicago. Her reward the following year was to be utterly let down by the MW Chapter when they announced during the 2011 comp that there would be no support offered to get to Parramatta. Maybe the MW Chapter need to look to themselves as to why there are less women, and no experienced ones returning.
