Music To Chill BY

I found this artist on youtube perhaps 10 years ago, and then she had fallen off my consciousness as life happened, then yesterday I remembered that the genre of music is called Fado and revisited her new videos. I believe the Portuguese guitar is called an Oud which influenced the Italian composer Scarlatti in the 1700's when he was in Spain . Edit: No, I see it is a Portuguese Fado guitar. I did not know what Mariza was saying, only that it gave me chills to listen to, so I looked it up.

RAIN

The ordinary things in life
don't bring us nostalgia
Only the memories that hurt
Or make us smile do

There are people that remain in our story
in the story of our life
and others whose the name
we barely care to listen to again

There are emotions that give life
to the longing that I bring with me
Emotions that I had by your side
and I lost a little ago

There are days that leave traces in our souls
and in our lives
and the day you left me,
I can not forget

The rain wet my
cold and tired face
And all the streets in that city,
I had already passed by

Ah ... my crying of lost girl
shouted to the city that
the fire of love in the rain
just now died

The rain listened to my secret
and shared it with the city
And now, rain taps on my windows
bringing the longing back

Well done ....................
on the music,
& on the homework !

There are at least 3 different guitar/plucked string instruments shown.
I meant the tear-drop shape w/ the round back. See 2:01 min. & 2:57.

I had a college roommate for several years who played guitar.
He was very smart, handsome, and athletic ......................
But his Martin 12 string was a chick-magnet ! ! !

How about some Leo Kottke - 6 And 12 String Guitar 1969 (Full Album) 1 of 4.
There are 4 you-tube videos that cover the entire album.
I have the vinyl, from ~1969 or 1970.
Saw him play in ~1969, in a gymnasium at Case Institute of Tech., Cleveland Ohio

When listening, just remember, this is one man, one guitar, one time thru ...........

I’m hoping to see this lady in Rochester, NY in early December. Quite a range of genres she plays too, if this song isn’t quite your cup of tea, I’ll bet there’s others that are. Hard, soft, blues, country, EDM, classical. Just an amazing talent and a great dancer as well.
