Music To Chill BY

I knew and spend a fair amount of time with Paul Ziegler who joined HotTuna in 1970. He and his wife lived on a sailboat in the Santa Cruz yacht harbor during the 80's and early 90's up until Paul's passing. He was an amazing character, a phenomenal guitar player, and an all around kickass human being. He loved hanging out and participating when we were doing tree work and we would let him run the Hobbs from time to time until he held er' tight and tore the top out of a big Redwood. After that we let him stick to playing the guitar and dragging brush.. Gary and I talk and think of you often Ziegler. Thanks for the kindness you and Liz always offered me. RIP bro.

I'm pretty much an online addict these days Greg.

But back in the day, my wife and I were avid vinyl record collectors, both albums n 45's mostly.

But when she passed in 09, I let go of all that stuff and shrank my possessions list down considerably, kinda like an ascetic monk, with a trunk.

What's that Who song?

Mobile?

This is my 1st contribution to this thread. (Music to Chill By !)
Keith Jarrett, the Koln Concert, 1975 (There are a lot of versions, dates, etc on YouTube)
(original was improvised !)

A) I hope it works.
B) I wish anyone who listens has REALLY good speakers.
C) It takes a long time to listen to the whole piece. (31+ min.)
D) Take a piece of time.
E) Turn up the volume. (to heard the soft passages ! )

This is my favorite piece of all time !

Sounds like church bells ringing. Amazing performance!!

I had not thought of that !
Thanks.
This performance/recording is the results of a man with an amazing touch on the piano, a beautiful sounding room, and a recording engineer who was smart enough to use what looks like 2 condenser mikes and an old Neumann microphone. This allowed the piano the breath, the wood of the instrument to come through, and the incredible ambient sound of the room to come through.

Stellar playing from beginning to end, and I particularly like the movement starting at 14:35.
