I was just informed that I passed the exam. Tough test. Now I am fishing for complements and seeking validation. Heard of it?

Let me be the first to respond to your unvarnished bid for attention! Congratulations. I know some smart folks who are still struggling to pass that one. Kudos to you!

I started preparing two years ago with the muni study guide. Applied to take the exam. denied because of the qualifications. waited a year, prepared again, and took it Dec. I recomend additional study material.

I took this s few years back and the study guide, though excellent as a resource, was decidedly unhelpful on the exam. The test questions seemed to come from the ether. I just applied common sense and crossed my fingers. I passed, but not with flying colors.

That was my experience too. Before I took the exam I talked to a few people who had both paseed and failed the exam. Most of them said the Study Guide was not much help, so I did not study it as intensly as I did when I prepared for the CA exam. I had the same as result as Babberney, nothing to brag about other than I recieved a passing score.

Congrats sul and welcome to the club. I agree with all, this test is a tough one. I spoke with Sharon Lilly last year at the Southern Chapte meeting and mentioned that I had passed and that the Study Guide was basically worthless. She told me that they were working to bring the test questions more in line with the guide. I guess they got the cart in front of the horse this time. I passed on the first try to but not by much. My lowest domain was hazard evaluation which is my strong point. Don't know what happened there. As far as I know at this point, I am one of only 7 CA Muni's in GA. Pretty exclusive club.

Thanks for the attention. I was mostly clowning about being validated. The guide was helpful,to me, not worthless. I also squeaked by with a passing score. I read that the pass fail ratio is 49/51. Challanging.
