Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

Roger, thanks for the input.

since you've delt with stocks before, what do you think the stock price will do when the show American Chopper airs on TLC Janurary 28th and tells the country about this product Monster Diesel?

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

Holy mackeral.....its exploding again this morning...at .56!! 20 minutes after the open. I didn't try to buy any.

Sooner or later it must correct.
Needs fundamentals--such as news of actual sales numbers, more contracts....actual EPA test results would be a good thing.

Currently the market cap is nearing $100 million, which is prolly too much until more is known.

Expect volatility leading up to the show. But the adage " Buy on rumor, sell on news" applies.

Edit, while typing via hunt and peck, it hit .61, now coming down fast. It could go below .39 today.....as it needs to consolidate, but will it? There is little internet hype seen on the stock boards I follow.

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

what does this mean, market cap of 200 million? does it mean that many shares can be sold? or was sold.

"Dr. Mat Zuckerman
Chief Executive Officer
With over 35 years experience growing high tech companies, Mat has invented more than 100 patents worldwide and commercialized more than 125 industrial and consumer products. Most recently, he built a company from a patent pending idea to a market cap of $200 million in just 18 months, with products now available at Home Depot, Target, VIP, National Auto Parts, Fred Meyer, Trader Horns, The Andersons, Biggs, Bennett Auto, Frank’s Auto Supermarket, Amazon.com, participating ACE and True Value Hardware stores, and other mass retailers.
Mat is the mastermind behind the science of the product. At the same time, he plays a strong leadership role in growing the company. The company is built around Mat’s vision for Monster Diesel™." this was some info from the monster diesel site.

I bet it will be heavy trading on Monday and close at 80 cents or above.

well i got the heavy trading part right thus far and it did climb to .61 at a hight point so far today. It's not noon yet.

I'm guesing from 1:30pm to 4pm today, it will really climb again.

might get to my friday prediction of 80cents still, we will see.

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

You really should protect your profits......

No matter how good the product is (and there's no proof as yet) nothing runs up forever....and the market cap is now way too high.

The only reasons for it not dropping a bunch are: the tight float...and few day traders..plus no shady third party promotions are going on.

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

Thanks X. Bought in this morning for a quick few bucks. I'll be sure to send you a xmas card next year. I would definitely heed Roger's advice and take some money off the table. It will correct sooner or later and trading without being able to see a company's fundamentals can be risky. Anyway good luck.

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

yes, i did this the first day I bought my 18,000 shares in the morning.

I bought at 0.21 and sold 9000 shares later that day to get back basically the money I had put into it. Now the other 9000 shares can ride worry free.
-----------------

after i did that, i was told that i could have simply put an order in, that would automatcally sell all the shares if it dropped back to 0.21. that way i could have gotten my money back that i had invested, nothing lost nothing gained.

petes, what you get it at?

If someone bought $10,000 of this stock this morning at 0.45= 23809 shares.

they could have had a sell in at 0.62 and if all those shares sold, total of $14,761. clearing about $4760 in one day!

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

Nice move buddy. It's nice making money the easy way isn't it?! It beats coming home with a pocketful of sawdust.
I bought in at 41 this morning. I set a limit order @ 41 before the market opened.

Mkt cap is the outstanding shares x the current price, which means $78 million, as of today. That's way too much given what is known, and where they're at today. (However, the only way to know for sure the outstanding share count is to call the stock transfer agent.....mind you, judging by the way it's trading, I don't think they are selling into the run.)

Of those 130 mm shares, Zuckerman and other insiders own 90 million.

They have some debt, not a huge amount, but, if they land some substantial contracts, how will they increase production without selling shares to raise funds? They will have to dilute the stock, as small companies usually have trouble raising capital through other means.

That said, if they do land some contracts, or release proof of growing sales numbers, the stock price will reciprocate.

My guess is, when the excitement wears off, this will pull back. I said there's no hype, true, but the volume has been large these last four days, with many small trades. Day traders joined the fun, as they always do with big movers. They'll lose interest, and the little guys who bought for themselves will be tapped out. When volume drops, the price will follow....down. But, as the supply seems small, and many won't want to sell, there may not be much selling.

After all that rambling, what I really mean is, I'll not be surprised if it trades higher, or lower.....

I think I'll call the company....to talk to Mat or an exec, not an IR person......I want to know about: funding, growth and how they could handle it, and product testing verification...as well as when they will apply to the OTCBB for listing.

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

While we're on about hot stocks, here's another, FDEI. Another new venture, solar when they were into oil. It was comatose and traded way under a penny. News today of a $25 mil deal to build a solar facility in India. I can't find any verifiable third party data on the deal or the Indian company. But the stock was up over 350% today. It's still only valued at 2.5 million, so it should continue to run.

I visited their website, it doesn't reveal much meat. They also don't report financials to the SEC, so verifying data is tough.

Trouble is, I'm not actively investing these days...back in 99-2000, I took time off tree work, and turned about $75k into $290k, on paper, in three months. Then, as the dot com crash unfolded, I was back doing tree work, and no longer day traded

Hey Roger the tree industry's glad to have you back! What would you have done w/ all of that $ anyway?

Re: \"Monster Diesel\" product by Alkane Inc.

Wow, talk about a correction. I knew it would happen, but didn't expect it to be so violent.

I just had a good conversation with the owner of Tilghman Oil, who is testing the product. He said that they only got a small 550 gallon shipment and are blending it in a retail pump. Most sales are to commercial clients, who are monitoring the fuel to see how it works. He says it's too early to tell much. He's skeptical as I am, that the product works as Alkane claims. He stated that they are best at marketing, rather than proving th e product works.

Typical. In earlier posts, I've stated what I feel the company must do to prove themselves and their products.

Alkane's sending me a sample, which I'll put in my chipper which typically turns the oil black in a short time (my F700 chip truck's oil stays cleaner much longer)and smokes a lot, at least on start-up.

I got a feeling late last night that it might correct today too. (since it didn't double itself or go high on monday) Ask my friend cuttenwolf; he called me late last night and was thinking about buying it and I told him not to buy it, wait until what we see it does today and I bet that he could buy it somewhere around 30 cents before Jan. 28th.

it corrected so violently i think cause there weren't many buyers set at the lower prices.

so it had to drop with big gaps.

settled at .30 to .33 cents it looks like, seems stable now.

My parents put in a market stop last night at .55, it zoomed past .55 and their shares all sold at .44 cents. it was moving that fast and far between.

I put in a market stop order to sell most of mine at .44 cents at 9:30 am this morning (as I've had a stomach virus and been terribly sick since Sunday), it zoomed past mine and i canceled the order when it dropped to .30 cents. i didn't want tell sell at .30 or less. I sold at .33 cents mid day, now I can actually say I finally made some money. First come first serve I guess on the orders and there was a lot of sell orders ahead of mine. I was taught a lesson today. ---don't wait to put in an order if you are already going to do it anyway.

i will see what it will do these next few days, then likely buy while I think it is down and sell later (when i think it will follow this trend again on a much bigger scale).

How can they publicly say it produces 10% more power and about 10 to 15% mileage, if it doesn't? all the small print somewhere that i haven't seen?

I'm tried to order some last week and they haven't gotten back to me, i wrote again today, but i think they are so slammed with orders they haven't responded yet.

Here was my plan as of yesterday, since you gave your plan to test....

I'm going to take my diesel 2007 f250 to a dyno. Dyno it to see the true horsepower and torque running on plain diesel. then, mix the monster diesel and run around town to mix it up and get it dynoed again that same day.

If i got 8 to 10% more horsepower, that would be a great product and even the average diesel pickup truck owners would be buying it. especially all those kids that have the big stacks and chips and do truck pulls.

I remember reading that this monster diesel is another form or nitro. As in dynamite. Lots of power in the molecules.
