Minnesota Tree Climbing

Well, I love breakfast at the Birchwood so I'll be sitting down to a waffle and coffee at 8 or 9 AM (beat the rush). Let the day warm up a little, maybe start climbing around 10AM or so.

I've been using the Revolver in my M setup. I know, I know... its not legal but I'm just trying it out. Can't wait for the auto-lock version.

Looks like (in one of those photos) you could reach out and change a light bulb.

A good tree for the old trick bag. Thanks for posting the pics.

Yeah it's probably the largest elm I've been in. Took one down earlier this year that was taller but not nearly the spread this one has. There is a lot of BIG wood in this tree. No snow, yet! Thanksgiving looks clear but next week turns cold... 20's and 30's.

Hello everyone! Time for another climb. Every Saturday and Sunday from now until the MNTCC on May 17th. Whoever wants to climb, please post a reply! This Saturday (tomorrow) I will be in Birkmose Park, Hudson WI starting around 11AM. Sunday may be Cherokee Park (site of last year's comp) we have a lot of parks to choose from, so if you have a cool place to climb, pipe up! These climbs are meant to be fun and relaxed, I don't want to race around like some competition prep course. However, if some are interested, we can setup a footlock station for those who want to learn. Throwine golf would be fun, too.

A slight change of plans... Some friends in WI invited me to climb at Birkmose and anyone else is invited as well!

Sounds like a great time, let me know if you ever want to climb any parks in Woodbury. I'll have to look into hooking up with you some weekend to "hang out" (bad joke). Have fun, stay safe.

TL - Hope you guys had a good climb! I've got a park in Woodbury called Shawnee. Lots of mature oak, in a mowed area. My weekends are pretty busy with the kids sports and other stuff, let me know if an after work climb would work out for anyone?
