I'm not trying to get off topic but I noticed brennanv remark that he had a Thomas mini skid. Well just so happens that my wife is Canadian and her parents live right down the road from their manufacturing facility. I visited it last week and talked to the owners about buying one. They look very well built and have good components but his original price for the 45 DT (their largest model which runs a kubota D1105-E4 24.8 hp engine with twin pump 14 gpm hydraulics) was $25,000. He said that he could work with me a little on it and I'm waiting for a quote but I'm still not so sure that I'm going a good deal. I'm buying it right out of their factory. Ditch Witch dealer quoted me $23,000 on a new SK 600 which is basically in the same class but has a good bit higher ROC.
I'm looking for thoughts on these Thomas machines and this situation. Could someone at least point me in the right direction if you know someone who's had experience with or owned one?
