Michigan TCC

Super competition this year!! Whiz did an awesome job, as always. Really appreciated (as a Michigan, with out of state kid competing) the acknowledgement of the 4 out of state competitors! (Even if it would have been nice if it could have been mentioned where the top 2 placed in the preliminary round - trying not to sound like a whining parent - did appreciate them being able to compete in the head to head footlock).

Just for info, the preliminary score sheet that was passed out to spectators during the Masters had the following top 5 ranked as follows:
1st - Lucas Drews from South Carolina with 176.042 points
2nd - Abram Zies from I believe Texas with 174.315 points
3rd - Kevin Bingham from Michigan with 170.188 points
4th - Kris Alder from Michigan with 142.932 points
5th - Jack Richardson from Michigan with 132.240 points

Kevin did a GREAT job on the Master's, as did Jack. Kris gave it a really great try. Thanks to all those who did participate and help in this event. There is nothing like the real "Men in Trees" to help each other out, encourage their competition, and share their knowledge with their fellow competitors.

Here is a pic of the group at the climbers meeting

awesome time as it is always. Really great to have lucas, abrams and the other out of staters come through. It was such a pleasure watching them climb. Will see all yall in KY.

Had a great time this year. Thanks for keeping it safe everyone and making my job a whole lot easier! Only had to give out one bandaid this year... and it was to a kid who got a blister playing on the monkey bars next to the work climb tree. I can live with that!

See y'all at the next one.

Tim

Nice climbing Kevin. As always, it was a pleasure catching up with you...and with everyone else who came out for the day. It's always refreshing to get together with professionals who have a similar passion for what we do. Thanks also to all the judges for the hard work. I'd love to be going back to the ITCC next year, but I'm also glad to let someone else wear the yellow "bull's eye" shirt next year!

Hey! good to see you on here. i finally snuck in on your dynasty. Man, I am amazed at what a smooth climber Kris became. After the winter and surgery and all, we should all pick a weekend to climb some big tree somewhere.

Hi Mark -

Welcome to Treebuzz :) It was a pleasure to meet/compete with you - and all the guys in our group - and all the other competitors too!

Congrats to Kevin and to all the contestants!!!! Congrats also to Kristian and his incredible crew of techs, judges, and volunteers. From everything I have heard about this one it sounds like you have all raised the level of professionalism and competition yet again. Without a doubt I am super sorry to have missed this one.

Hey where are the sushi pics?

I had attended the Michigan MTCC this past summer in Midland with my eldest daughter. First time at one of these events & we had a great time.

Also had the pleasure of meeting a few guys from the "Buzz". (I hang out over at the "TreeHouse" for the most part). My daughter could not believe that there were so many guys climbing trees in one area. She & I took a few pics and as soon as I can figure out how to post them, I will.

Great event!

HEY THERE SIR Rat,

Do we have a date on this - I need to plan my trips?

How far is Michigan from the middle of now where Georgia?

I have a map and permission to leave the state, Well maybe not permissions, but if I leave how will they know i am gone. they would be happy as there would be one less yankey plundering the goods.

OH well

WHEN DO YOU CLIMB THE TREES?

jz
