Matt Cornell Rope Saddle

I float between 36 and 38 depending on the manufacturer. Nobody makes a 37. I wear 36 arbor wear pants. I like the size 2 saddle. I'm the 3rd grommet from all the way sinched. In winter I have the flexibility of being bulky. Will fit well over my rain gear. I like the smaller legs for sure. I can get my boots through them without sitting down and they are loose until I weight the saddle so when I'm on my side d with a flip line the legs are slack unless I have weight on the bridg also. It's like wearing nothing but still super comfortable.

mike, it is probably best if you sell it to me at half price. I know it sounds like a lot of money for me to spend on a harness that pinches but I feel it is the least I can do to help a fellow brother out when he is suffering so painfully. :birra:

Exactly where is the pinch? My two cents. This saddle, for me at least doesn't wear like any other saddle. From the looks of it your leg loops are way way too tight. When I have the saddle on, like in your picture the leg loops are super loose Could easily fit my hand between the padding and my hamstring. Not a fist but a flat palm. The first time I tried it, my immediate thought was, these things are way too loose. Then, I sat into my line and everything snugged up perfectly when I loaded my bridge. That's the beauty of this saddle. It's unlike the modern saddles of today, being each leg and the waist are independently tightened and adjusted to comfort. This saddle is one living breathing being that adjusts to your anatomy and movements as you move.

Whats your height and weight? I have worn a size one and a size 2. I'm 6'1" 205 and prefer the size 2 belt and size 1 leg loops. From the picture it looks like the side rings are at your pelvic crest and your bridge is so wide. My side rings are just about an inch in front of my hip bones and my bridge is about 6" long.

I cant really tell but it almost looks like you are wearing it kinda high like as if that height gives you the snug feel you think you should have on the leg loops.

I hope that helps a little. Don't expect it to feel like anything you have worn before. It wont. Ill try to take some pics of mine on me tomorrow.

What Steve said. I've come from the ProGear2. It's a loose saddle/harness, too ... meant to have belt higher and the leg-pads lower. Also, I see a wallet in the back pocket ... send that to me ... pinch fixed ... :inocente:

Has anyone put an adjustable bridge on a MCRS? I'm pretty happy with my Onyx and Sequoia for now, but they'll need to be replaced eventually, and the adjustable bridges on them have really been a great feature. Maybe just replace the bridge rings (or maybe just one of the bridge rings) with ring-opens?

I did exactly that and it is as functional as you would guess it is.

I'm working my day J.O.B. right now, so I'll be out of town another 2 weeks, but if no one else chimes in before I hang up the roughneck hardhat and don the arbo helmet, I'll be sure to post some.

I have tried it both ways and I still get some pinching in my hips. Never had any pinching with my treemotion.

i will take a picture tomorrow and post it up. Thanks guys.
Mike, did you get the pinch worked out? I'm in the market and if you're not happy with MCRS, maybe I could take it off your hands? I'm torn between TM and MCRS. Never tried on either one. Coming from my 2nd Sequoia, and though I love the feel and light weight, they're hard to inspect, and the aluminum D's have corroded on both, and have sawed through the webbing wrapped around them.
