I'm looking at upgrading my chip truck. I'm looking for something in the f550 size range but does not have to be a Ford. I would like automatic (getting to hard to find people to drive otherwise) and I would like something with a 10' box. Trying to keep it at or below $25k. If anyone has any leads on anything I would appreciate it. I'm in Illinois and don't mind a little travel to obtain but don't want to get crazy. Even any quality dealers you have dealt with would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Ryder used vehicle sales sells decent cab & chassis trucks for short money. We just got a 2007 Freightliner with 180K miles for 18,500. They had others with higher mileage as cheap as 15K. Well maintained trucks with complete maintenance history and warranty. I'm sure you could figure out a chip box for the difference!

Cab over have the sweetest turning radius! You can get your truck and chipper around most any turn arounds in client's drives etc. We have two Ford LCF. Really like them....except we've been having tons of trouble with their injectors and similar issues. They stopped making them...they were short lived. They are the same thing as the International CityStar. Noisy as anything as you are siting on top of the engine...:frio:
