I can see why you dropped those sections, then yarded them up and out with the winch. prolly a lot easier that rigging them aloft and dealing with shock loading of the stem as they speedlined out.

too bad a big beach bonfire wasn't in the cards, eh?!

Yup that's right. As the winch raised the wood, slack was given to the rigging point via the portawrap and the wood ran down the zipline.
