I actually have a shizll I've never used in the box of goodies in my garage. Bought is to use on a custom lanyard but forgot to have it put on the line before the clips were spliced on to both ends. So here is sits. Anybody want it?
I'll be sure my coworker keeps him in line and on the right path. Should be a snap tending to his future. Any more really bad puns I missed?Crimsonking got it. Send my your address and i'll pop it in the mail today or tomorrow. Glad it found a good home. Treat it well and send me pictures as it grows up. Boohoo
Well that's just piss poor news!Local fire chief, nfp ropes instructor told me urine has proven to be some of the worst liquid to get on your rope.
I once had the great fortune of having to instruct new hires in very basic aerial rescue for a major line clearance company. One poor soul was extremely acrophobic. 7 feet off the ground he started chanting "Oh, God! Oh, God!"....the dummy was a mere 20' off the ground. The moment when he took one hand off his own line to grapple with the dummy, I'm pretty sure he peed a little.....thankfully non got on the rope.Who pisses on their ropes? Lol
Just get a boat snap, swivel or not. Works the same. Cheaper and easier to obtain.Sure! How much?
#2 brass snap, about $3, works on my two lanyards, 10 mm ocean poly and vortex.Just get a boat snap, swivel or not. Works the same. Cheaper and easier to obtain.
I agree. I found the brass snaps to be great because they are mid line attachable as well. I have some shizzles. They are awesome as well, but I had a lanyard made with a sewn eyes and it was too large to fit through the shizzle holes. Brass snaps work great on a hitch.#2 brass snap, about $3, works on my two lanyards, 10 mm ocean poly and vortex.
Observation: The Petzl adjust cordage does not come with the sewn eyes covered with shrink tube leaving the stitching exposed. Seems like a no trainer. I was visiting Wesspur last week in Washington State and talked with their splicer as he was sewing eyes. He mentioned the most expensive part of that process was the cost of the clear adheisive shrink tube they use to cover the sewing.Poor zillion. Petzl doesn't seem to be having the best of luck with their mechanical products even though I head they are silky smooth. Lets see if any more pop up with time.
Well that sucks. Too poor to afford to put shrink wrap on a sewn splice, a life support device. Maybe it's time for them to get out of the business.Observation: The Petzl adjust cordage does not come with the sewn eyes covered with shrink tube leaving the stitching exposed. I suspect Petzl has some bean counter figuring out how to shave pennys off the cost of production to get profits up and stock prices higher. Look at the foot ascender etc, everything is going to minimums.
Send it my way. wink winkI find the cover has gotten too smooth over time and is not good in the hands.
I am doing mostly removals nowadays so I want a bit fatter and stiffer.
