lanyard adjuster cordage

I use a VT for my lanyard adjuster, currently on 10mm beeline. Any suggestions for a good cord to use on it or 1/2" line? Does the cord have to have same rating as a climbing line according to ANSI?

I used 8mm beeline for a while but switched to 3/8" Tenex Tec (~1/2" when spliced). I used to have to loosen the BL every once in a while but I haven't had to with the Tenex. I use a Distel.

Yes it does. But, if it is used as an eye & eye, the 'looped' version can be used.
Example: 8mm accessary cord rated at 3,000 lbs. used to tie to a lanyard as an eye & eye is OK cause the rope strength is doubled, minus the knots or splices.
