Knot research - help needed!

Hi Guys, i'm just doing a bit of research on some various knots and I have several obscure ones i'm unable to find any information on. I've posted a list of them below, and i'd be extremely grateful if you have any experience with any of them, if you could post your feedback. I'm particularly interested in pro's and con's, applications, and ideal rope diameters.

Thanks kindly!

Steve,

double figure 8 bend is very similar to the fisherman's knot for joining two ropes together. Not to be confused with the Flemish Bend which is very similar. Can't comment on the pros and cons as I've never used it.

Note that the photo'd knot that you present differs from the illustration
(which is incorrect).

Also, "double fig.8" can mean different things to different people
(as so many things knotty might) : i.p., it can mean what I prefer
to call "offset fig.8 bend" --which might in other circles be called
"fig.8 EDK" : where the loaded ends exit the knot adjacent to each
other, and similarly the free ends.

And even I, too, am mostly unfamiliar with the knot names in that list!
