Kapok Tree Climb in Sierra Leone, West Africa

Hey All,

I was in Sierra Leone working on a gravity-fed water system installation project and had the chance to climb a large Kapok (silk cotton) tree. Shot a little video and just put something up on youtube:

Thanks man - it was really fun. I didn't mention it was about 95 degrees Fahrenheit and 5 in the afternoon It's the village that I grew up in - and the tree climb was the icing on the cake of an incredible 3 1/2 weeks of hard work on the water system. As a teenager I would look up at this tree and imagine what it was like up there... Didn't go out or up into the the main canopy - too many snakes

Beuatiful and inspiring! The look on the faces of the crowd is wonderful! The power of the tree and the beauty of climbing it with an audience on hand. It is not often that a crowd can so appreciate the inticate and awe inspiring art form that we practice!
