I'm still mostly working trees Ddrt, but an accent of more than 15' without my wrench feels like punishment...working a tree natural crotched with textile friction feels that way too. My friction saver/zigzag combo lets me pull stuff that's of a kind with what JP does (albeit a TOTALLY different, lower, degree), and from my admittedly limited experience with full mechanical SRWP, I think it's the same with the RW/HH vs the RR/BDB; smoother, more consistent, with a wider sweet spot for both tending and rappelling. It's not necessarily that the moves aren't possible, they're just easier and more importantly more repeatable. Putting your hands on my zigzag is a good way to get rabies no matter how many eye'n'eyes are laying around , and I have a feeling that's why these boners and binghamites are so crazed/happy.
