Japanese Maple Frost?

I just planted a bloodgood Japanese maple and it came in from Oregon and was starting to leaf out 2-3 weeks earlier then the bloodgoods here in Ohio. We just had a freeze and I covered it, but the leaves are still torched now. It is starting to put few new leaves in random locations but for the most part the leaves are toast.

Should I just wait and see what happens? cut it back slightly? fertilize it to stimulate new growth?

This product is labeled for frost damage: https://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=26&item=375

I wonder is agri-fos (Phosphorous Acid) would be of any benefit as a low dose soil drench?

I just hope the tree isn't gonna dieback severely. A frost hit the Japanese maples in TN April 2007 and it was devastating.

Thanks for any help!
