Do you guys have any tips for taking the test? Do you have tips on how I should study? What did you guys do to study? I've listened to 6 chapters so far.

For me reading works best then write notes to reinforce what I read. answer the practice test questions for sure, once again writing the answers. Everyone is different though. But I think listening, reading and writing should all be used. Agreed the study guide is all you really need to know. But be careful when you take the test , read the questions very careful they can be confusing and misleading. Good luck.

Tips? Take the test at a 'certified computer testing facility' as opposed to the next time it is ISA scheduled near you. Then you're taking it when it will work best for you. Also you get instant results instead of much later.

Additionally a computer center gives you %'s passed or failed for the different sections. And you could take the test as soon as you were ready.

I got to a point where I didn't want to study everything anymore. I wanted to know what I was weak in so I could focus there. Even if you don't pass at first it is only $50 to re-test and now you know what to put more effort into.

All of this is, if I recall correctly. Double check it before using it as a plan.

Everyone I work with says the electronic test is $300. I was told if I put down the opposite career than what I do the test will be more directed toward my field. Is this right? Is there a way I can check prices?

Test fee for non ISA members is $250. Fee for computer based test is $125 payable at testing site. This fee goes to Pearson Vue Testing service not ISA and would be assessed again if you fail the test and take it again at computer center. This info is easily available on the ISA website guys. If you are seriously preparing for the test I would think you could figure out where to find it rather than rely on hearsay, just saying.
