ISA Consumer Video Series

The ISA and STIHL have paired up to create some informative videos that get information to the consumers. What I really like about this concept is that they are targeting our potential clients to help educate them on why they should hire a pro. Here's the first released video:

I like the concept too. How is this info being exposed to the clients and homeowners?

Nice gloves by the way. Look like your ready to herd some cattle.

Nice work Melissa and Mark!
This is the kind of information that can help educate homeowners to make better decisions regarding their tree care needs....
Thanks for the hard work!

It would be cooler if I could view it on my iPhone. If the point is to get the message out, their missing the mark. There are a lot of us iPhone users out here who aren't getting this message. As with all things produced by ISA not Mac compatible.

This is very good PR, because an educated client understands me. Some of my best and most loyal clients got my name from the ISA web site.

Great job Mark and Melissa. Nice to get to watch those videos at long last! Vid opened and viewed just fine on my macbook, so I'll be showing it to clients during consultations.

Good work.

I like the two simple criteria that people should consider before going for removal, as well as pointing them to (hopefully) qualified service providers. Its so easy for people to see broken things (often the weak and defective), and figure the whole tree is bad, rather than what is bad has already failed, leaving the stronger parts of the tree.

I love that it is Stihl and ISA. We have many ISA certified arborists on staff, but when you tell uneducated people about this, they give you the deer in headlights look. Everyone knows stihl, and this adds a lot of weight to the ISA in my opinion.

Nice job Mark! Glad to see some effort made to educate the consumer. Now it's going to be up to the ISA to take this to the consumer. Possibly at landscape shows and the like.

The videos will be used on a few different websites that are commonly marketed to the public. When they go live I will be sure to post them here so you all can direct clients there as well if you want.

Ha, actually I just left the gloves on from the previous video we shot about bull riding and the way to lock your hands in just like rigging a big top out.

The ISA wrote the script that Melissa and I followed and they desrve the credit on the concept. We may have changed a few lines here and there to make it easier to memorize (or not

). STIHL liked the idea as well and that is why they supported the project which is how the videos came to be.

I am not sure when the other videos go live. When they do become available I'll be sure to post them. Brent and Joe from lawn and garden webvision did some awesome work shooting the videos too!
