Interesting wood

This place is pretty close to me. Perhaps some of you can sell them some monster wood if you come upon it. I spoke with owner today, very nice and pleasant. Give him a call. He says he can arrange shipping of whole truck loads of big wood and burls.

Awesome. I really like trying to make more then firewood! If you are in central VT or central NH these guys are awesome.

They are into squirrely pieces of wood for sure. They said that they are willing to pay for some of it.
Today I helped my buddy sand and poly a cherry floor that he just put down. My buddy had it milled then Kiln Works had kiln dried, planed, 4 sided and relief cut it all, and it is beautiful.
This is a good thread, we should all be networked with folks who utilize urban waste

Cherry flooring sounds lovely (very envious!) in another life, ie when I was younger, I fitted kitchens to help pay for college..Cherry cabinet doors were my favourites quite the most beautiful thing a cherry wood kitchen and the thought of combining that with the flooring well...just wow thats all.
