Insurance costs and companies in Ohio

I was curious to know what business liability insurance runs about in price here in Ohio. I do less than 6 or so removals a year. Also is there any type of insurance that would only cover me for just the time being on one single jobsite?
 
You would need to speak with an insurance agent. It is based on our payroll. They charge us an estimated amount each year and then audit our payroll at the end of the year. I don't know what would be available for you, but I'm sure a commercial insurance agent can answer your question.
 
Mine is figured by an audit each year also.If your just getting started and don't expect to do more than say,$50,000 gross for the year,you should be able to get 2-3oo,ooo policy pretty cheap,probably somewhere around $1,000 a year.By the way,i'm in ohio also not far from you,if you come across a tree you need a crane for give me a call.
 
Yeah I may only do about 5 tree removals a year but I think with insurance it may bring me more work since most people want insured people working on their properties and I need to become more proficient in rigging operations. So far as of now I only do jobs that I can handle on my own.
 
In my experience it is cheaper getting quotes online. Some of the bigger companies offer discounts when ordering online, because it is less work for them. But to be safe you could compare quotes online, pick the best offer and try a local agency to see if they can match it or do better.

i live in southeastern oh an for me an another guy it was 1200 dollars yr... that was for a million dollar policy...

Benj, I'm approx. 4 or so hours away from you. I live in the NE part of Ohio in Mahoning County.
 
is that near akron donald do u live near the lake cause that is about 4 hours from me i live all the way at the bottom of the state right on the ohio river Meigs Co. peace ill try to find out what the name of that insurance comp.. for ya..

Well Lake Erie is about a 1 hour drive north of me, Akron is like a 40-45 minutes west of me and PA. is 20 minutes to the east of me.
