this is the one i ordered. sorry I messed on the price but 75 bucks or more for a petzl visor is robbery
Flexes similar to the shields you see on the common helmet shields used for clearing saws, industrial work etc.
Buttons are pliable metal and distort easily enough with needle nose pliers.
Eye balled the centre and front edge and drilled a few holes and bolted in.
seems durable enough. let you know in a month or so. my guess is it is not as goood as the originals but better than plasti or wire mesh and still save a quite a few bucks

Face shield (stock protos) and prescription glasses and I still have to wear safety glasses at comp.

You should be able to purchase prescription safety glasses I know Wiley X and Oakley amongst others I am sure make then both tinted and non. My guys at work get then issued once a year or so. Depending upon breakage (normally due to carelessness)

It's on the list for me to look into. I'm scared of the potential for sticker shock. My insurance covers the exam and a bill fiddy of the cost of glasses, which could leave a lot of expense after I get lenses that do the things that I want.

I wear my safety soft contact lense daily.
This is the best investment ever. Recently my optometrist said my eyes are many many yrs younger than my age. They squeegee shit and sweat away from pupil no sting. I can't do glasses at work. Straining to see through scratched, foggy, oil filmed, sweaty lenses makes me sick with headaches. Do the contacts if you think you can works for me

I got a pair of prescription safety glasses as a second pair at my last appointment, they were actually cheaper than the regular frames. My insurance wouldn't pay for them though, only paid towards the regular frames. Although your insurance may be different
