At last year's ISA conference there was a guy from Australia talking about fatalities caused by trees and public perception. (The data in Australia basically says you aren't gonna get killed by a tree randomly falling (he eliminated fire line deaths and tree worker deaths - focusing on trees just falling and killing people), but that people are still afraid - 1:5,000,000 chance). For perspective he also talked about all of the scary animals then showed a graphic of the most deadly (1:830,000 chance of being killed by an animal, so much more dangerous than trees).Hey Buddy !!

From the talk (https://eventmobi.com/isa2018/agenda/306203/1517564)
venomous snakes only accounted for 1.5 deaths/year
honey bees cause 1.7 deaths/year.
The three animals in Australia that caused the most fatalities were horses, cattle, and dogs - combined for 14.4 deaths a year (three times the number of deaths from Tree Failure).
