HH2 Carabiner

However as a constructive sidenote perhaps, what I like to see is a double sided facing "manual" - on the right page of the book an explanation of the specification or requirement, and on the left page facing it an explanation of the, say accident, or what we needed to fix that brought the right side of page's stuff into being. Then people understand why stuff got like it is, and on the right page it tells what to do to comply, etc. (and in a company setting maybe who they need to see or what they need to have to get in the right place). Way way less arguements if everything is explained clear like and this keeps organizational memory in place as folks come and go.
Now back to single malt it is.
If only it was like that. It's a 1500 page indoctrination book with no explanations to anything. It doesn't even stipulate an open moving rope system, all it talks about is closed systems. Lol.

Doesn’t the HH manual specifically state the make and model of the carabiner used? If I recall right it specifically calls for a CT steel oval. At least a steel oval for sure! They can’t go outside manufacture requirements.
That’s what I remembered as well, but I can’t find that carabiner anymore (see my earlier reply).

They do seem to be scarce all of a sudden, but I just found a source on eBay for $20/ea if anyone needs:

Treestuff also carries them for $30:
