girdling root pruning/timing?

I have a client with 2 red maples, showing signs of girdling roots and you can tell the trees were not planted properly.

I plan to air knife the soil away and see what can be corrected.

But is this a bad time of year to be doing this? Its been very hot and dry here = hard on the trees.

I just wonder if it would be best to wait until late oct/early november?

Any advise?

the tree is already under mega stress from this summer i would wait until leaf drop

ive done quite a bit of root pruning correcting so if u need any more info you can email or call me or pm

Kinda what I was thinking too, I'm gonna wait. Thanks

I just hope its not such a tangled mess that I wont even know where to start. Seems like containerized red maples have major girdling root issues, especially if the landscaper doesn't plant at the right depth. Or if B&B and they leave the burlap and basket on. We'll see?

I'm also thinking about doing a deep root fert with beneficials organics and root stimulator, OR using the below link:

Any suggestions?

going into fall you dont want to give any N because the tree is getting ready to go to bed for the year and it will produce growth not desireable

and i attached a pic to let you know what u r up against this one isnt that bad lol

i tried to add a pic idk wth lol if u want to see a pic my email is treemaninmo@gmail.com
