Giant(Branch manager) vs Avant vs multi one

Thanks for the specs! I was actually talking about overall build quality, Parts availability, etc.
Build quality most are pretty equal. They use same or comparable components.
Avant Gaint and Cast all use Kubota engines and Multione uses Yanmar.
Depending on model Avant uses either the D722 or D1105, Giant only uses D902, and Cast offers models with D722 D902 D1105 and D1305 all in same or similar chassis depending on what you need machine to do.
Avant and Multione are European plates and Plastic
Cast and Giant are universal Mini Plates (US) and steel
Some differences are lift height Cast has highest lift height at 117” the rest are between 109-112”
Cast offers a max 14” wide tires Giant offers a max 13” wide tires and Avant and Multione max tire size is 12”
Joysticks
Avant offers 6-function (momentary aux only) on 400/500 series as option and 8 function (momentary and tele) on 600/700 series
Giant offers a multi function but due to automotive drive it is 13 function ( momentary, tele, f-n-r, operator presence , momentary diff lock
Cast offers a 10-function standard on all models ( momentary, tele, bi-directional detent) only Cast and Multione have detent on the joystick
Avant is one directional detent on lever and Giant if you get multifunction joystick there is no detent
Avant and Giant uses 200cc wheel motors as standard Giant has optional 400cc, Multione I believe are 300cc, Cast models have 315cc on some models, 315cc MTK heavy duty on 28/33T and 400cc on 825/830D
Cast, Avant and Multione use hydraulic drive 2 pedal (F & R) with hand throttle, Giant uses automotive style drive ( F-N-R switch on joystick) accelerator pedal on right and inching pedal on left.
Cast has a huge advantage when it comes to service access on 30-series side panels swing open and center panel is 4 bolts and machine is wide open for service, 800 series loaders have 4 1/4 turn screws per side panel and seat flips forward.
Depanelling avant and Multione can take up to 30 minutes and Giant is about 15-20 minutes if you need full access
Any machine is better than none and there are pros and cons to each. Feel free to call me to discuss further 612-454-9191

Excellent info! Thank you very much! I may be giving you a call at some point to talk about it further.

note, cast specs - say with counterweight, Giant you can add counterweight. not sure if pictured Giant and pallet of bags was foam filled tires and counterweighted.
Lots of good info on the Cast

Hey, if anyone who has a giant loader with counter weights and foam filled tires wants to see how heavy of a pallet it can pick up, go for it!

254TELE factory spec capacity
View attachment 59103
Why is the lifting capacity so different between the standard and telescoping 254? I understand the capacity would be lower when telescoped out, but I assume the lifting capacity would be rated with the telescope in?

I was wondering if the difference was a heavier arm because of the telescoping, but according to the specs the overall weight of the machine is the same... Although, it looks like they may have some numbers wrong, because according to that chart the lifting capacity is greater than the tipping capacity on the non-telescoping machine.

I should know - but I believe it is because of where the arm pins are located, yes the specs are different on different publications - the dutch couldn't translate well uniformly254Tbrush.webp

Yea when reviewing specs be sure to note how the numbers are generated. Different brands do it different, multione does there numbers with the weight 18" from the hinge pins i believe, and if i remember right avant does 16". A couple inches makes a big difference
