Alright, I've been following this thread and being hopeful for the time/money thing to synchronize. I'm psyched about getting into my first climbing comp... I have a well deserved rep for being slow but it sounds like a good time no matter what. I've been reading my rule book JZ, looks like maybe we'll get to meet before Charlotte, looking forward to it.

I may have to fly though, I don't have a good road trip vehicle.

Anybody coming down via Raliegh or Charlotte, I'll pay my way, buy some meals and I'm pretty good at swinging shifts behind the wheel.

I haven't talked to GuyMayor yet, I think I'll try to get him to come too.

I am working on getting the information for a Purdue van since I was told we can rent them cheap from the university so we can road trip from KY.

I would drive to Purdue for that. Keep me in the loop Ty.

Hey how do I get invovled in this thread?

[/ QUOTE ]

YOU JUST DID

you do not have to be committed

oh that is wrong

you don't have to commite yourself

gee that still sounds not right

OK

you do not have to say you will be there to post.

it just has to be constructive and polite works of enouragement for all of us that will be there

I will say this - Chicago - january - snow
florida - january - sunshine

hope that helps

Do I have to commit to coming down for this right now, because I don't know how things with the new JOB are going to be around that time.

[/ QUOTE ]
Well just bring TK with you. How is the new Job?

Blinky
If you fly down we will pick you up if needed, check into flying into Orlando or Daytona sometimes cheaper to fly into Daytona.
I really hope you can make it down.

Jason, you're young and you've got your health. What do you want with a JOB?

Florida is SO much nicer in mid January than Chicago.

Tomorrow morning I am heading off to Raleigh to catch a flight to Hartford.

I was offline all weekend, and was having withdrawals from the treebuzz, and I get back on here, and the banter is nonexistent!

What did y'all do this past weekend? It was my birthday on Friday, and I spent about 6 total hours in trees, climbed on Saturday and Sunday too, and caught the biggest catfish I have ever caught out of the lake behind my house and ate it last night. Mmmmm, mmmm, good. I also watched the Panthers implode with David Carr at the helm, crumbling anytime a defender breathed heavily in his general direction. The last time the Titans had 7 sacks in one game was a couple of years ago against the Texans with, surprise surprise, David Carr was the QB. Come to find out, David Carr has no business being in the NFL, and we just wasted 3 million on his shellacked quaff.

On a more positive note, my Steelers are about to open a can on the hapless Ravens on the national spotlight that used to be Monday Night Football, but is now on ESPN. I don't even know why they bother to air this game, as the greatest game of all time was played (sarcasm in my keyboard is flaring up) yesterday, and all other games are put to immediate shame, and all future games are meaningless.

Go Steely McBeam!

well some of us had to get stuff done about the house, painted the office, had the oil changed in the car, got new paw covers for the baby car. friday a tree climb saturday it was help with a tree climb,

HAPPY B DAY

sunday was kart racing at road atlanta, we won yahoo we won

so there - not every one sits about and plays keybord on the weekend.

also packing for sunshine city - watch for snow up that far north.

what did that fish taste like, you have water in your lakes still?

see you in the tree

jz

I want to see a picture of the kart racing!

I will post the picture of the fish soon as I download to the 'puter. Probably tomorrow on the plane, I like to do computing while in the seat.

We have water in the lakes, barely. The Catawba is still kicking, or trickling, whichever you like better.

The catfish was very tasty, we used House Autrey seasoning and fried up nuggets in a pan. Altreeist cut up the fish, it was probably about 2 - 2.5 lbs when I caught it, and I would say there was almost a pound of good filet that we quartered up and fried.......mmmmmm..mmmmmmm!

I'll see you in a tree!

Well happy Birthday Bro.
Sorry I could not get on the computer much this weekend and we know what happened yesterday, sucks without the wake up buzz. Any way I hope you had a great day Ez on your birthday,
And on the cat fish you know I don't like raw fish and not to much of cooked fish, but catfish deep fried in chunks is one I do Love to eat. Go figure.

There is a group of us leaving from Charlotte. We have talked about an RV rental and/or the big van. I will let you know what the outcome of the talks are. As for me, I may have to follow seeing as how I may have to carry my scuba equipment and wife with sensitive nose. Just keep swimming just keep swimming.

Anyhow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY EZ I did not know, I still would not have shown up at your house, but I would have said Happy birthday sooner. AND you eat fish from MIL? You are brave or foolish. Did you catch the fish upstream or down stream of the waste water treatment plant? Whole new meaning on sushi...

That's good news, definitely have them count me in as paying a share. If I can get a ride down that will pretty much lock it in for me.

I used to have one of those wives with sensitive noses... does wonders for the hygiene!.
