I understand that the maga folks are steadfast in their healthcare cuts (?) whilst the dems are opposed to cuts.

I always thought antifa was made up or mis-spoken, not real and the closest I could figure was Queen Latifa. so antifa actually means something. still, first I ever bonafide heard of them. antifa needs a new PR department.

It’s a loose ideology based on an opposition to fascism. Basically if you love freedom (like I do), you’re anti-fascist. Unless you just want freedom for a certain subset of the population and want to police citizens against having free will and all that cool stuff.
 
There was quite a dichotomy illustrated when the quiet, respectful attentive audience of serious faced generals had to endure the trump hegseth address - and get berated! A guy's gotta remember to respect the previous younger fighting form of seemingly overweight generals. Beardos?!

Who saw the Colbert couch/sombrero AI comedy skit? Bold, risky IMO.
 
It was a good natured public challenge to promote health and fitness, 100 push-ups and 50 pull-ups in under 10 minutes. Of course it was filmed.
 
I just watched some vids of the cringe worthy event and neither of these men performed a single proper chin or pushup in the vids. Certainly not up to military standards.. RFK is old so I can fully understand him being unable to perform either with a slow paced, pause at top and bottom, full range of motion, but what is Hegseth's excuse. Pete looked like fish on a line, kicking his legs like it was somehow gonna help him get his chin over the bar. Fucking flappy and pathetic for a 46 yr old man. He certainly had a lot of nerve bringing in all our Generals and Admirals and screaming about fitness to hundreds of men who have dedicated their lives to serving this nation and keeping us safe. Dude should be fucking ashamed of himself. I've got more than a few years on Pistol Pete and even at my age I would be downright embarrassed if I let my fitness level fall to that level.

Totally agree.. Bizarre and lame exhibition.

You can't make it up, the idea of a dood with 4 y military experience in the national guard being appointed the sec of Defense. Literally unbelievable
 
I was in Portland last week for class. There is literally one city block in the entire city where protests are regularly occurring. Numbnuts number one keeps saying the city is burning and that everyone is terrified. The whole class and I were walking to coffee shops, walking to look at trees in the park, and walking to our hotels. It is a normal west coast city. Yes, there are homeless people and some people in the park smoking fentanyl. But guess what, that seems pretty ubiquitous across the country these days. War zone? These idiots say they are trying to save money while wasting millions shipping troops around the country to agitate the populous.

And Republicans who normally scream when the government does anything that resembles overreach? Remember your motto: Don’t Tread On Me?
