Divisiveness is not a characteristic of the right. That’s communist manifesto 101 or the current democrat party. Characteristics of the right include cowardice, being cowardly, and acting like a coward.

Let me introduce you to the king of cowards. The pussy grabbing’, draft dodging, shit talking tool known as Donald J Trump.

. . . But what does it say about Biden and his policies that a man facing dozens of criminal charges is in a position to even challenge?
I think what is far more important here is what that says about the multitudes of gullible idiots who continue to support the egotistical, vindictive, lying moron and don't give any thought to the danger and embarrassment to our country that he represents.

Oh gawd, most of my family live in other countries, and I assure you, they think we ought to be embarrassed. They live in Uruguay, Chile, Spain, and Germany for reference.

I try to explain that we're not all like that...

Maybe it isn't just that they are idiots. Maybe they object to the anti-white, anti-male, anti-christian, anti-mericratic, anti-freedon, and misanthropic ideals that characterize politics on the left. And the degree to which Trump stands in opposition to those.
An Anti-christian, anti-meritocratic, and anti-freedom, angry misanthrope is actually a pretty good description of Trump.

I voted for Biden and used to dispise Trump... When he continued the family separation polcieis at the border that were starterd under Obama/Biden, I swore I would never vote for him... While I must keep that promise to myself, and support Bobby for president, the way Jan 6 hearings were conducted by congress, and presented by the press chnaged my mind about Trump. All of a sudden I saw the fake news in action, and wondered if what we heard for the 4 years of his presidencey wasn't fake news as well. The hearings were nothing more than partisan political theatre. ANd beyond even politics, the ruling elites wouldn't go after him like that if he wasn't a threat...

And with diesel at $7/gallon, hyper-inflation, and interest rates going through the roof, I was none to happy with Biden. Then when he announced that vaxx mandates for federal employees and contractors, I swore would never vote democratic again. In looking at Biden's corruption and incometnce, one must ask.. who is really running this country?

And then the way the democratic DAs have gone after Trump has appauled me. IMO these political persecutions are much more of a threat to democracy than anything that happened on Jan 6.

the ONLY WAY to protect freedom, is to protect the freedoms of the people you disagree with and despise. Those that would cheer the prosecution of Trump just to see him go down, no matter how improper and politically motivated they are, and without care for the truth are begging for tyranny.

While Kissinger, Bush and Cheyney walk the earth as free men, they are in fact war criminals, repsonsible for the death and torture of hundreds of thousands of human beings. How do they get a pass, and then it's somehow good to prosecute Trump for supposedly inflating the value of his assets in loan applications for loans that have been paid in full to a bank that was happy to have the business? After looking into the details of these prosecutions, it becomes clear how they are just politically motivated attempts to keep Trump from running in 2024... That is a threat to democracy.

This country was based upon a set of rules called The Constitution. It is what everybody runs to when their rights feel threatened. The gun nuts, the free speech nuts, and the civil rights nuts. As imperfect as it may be, it holds this country together pretty damn well.
Trump doesn't give a shit about it. He is all for throwing it in the trash, which he seems to have done almost every time he opens his mouth. Then he wants to forget all about the checks and balances we have in our government that are in place so no one person can do something really stupid, like fire nukes at some other country just because they feel like it. He wants to be a one-man ruler with the power to do whatever he wants, when he wants, just like Hitler. or Jong Un.
If he gets in and does his thing, there will be no document you can run to if he decides you can't own a gun. No document you can run to if he decides he doesn't like what you say about him and decides to have you put in jail for protesting against his views.
You MAGA people just don't get it.
And when you have had enough and you want someone else to be the leader of the country, you won't have a way to do that. Oh, you might be able to vote, but there will be no other person to vote for because all his opponents will be in jail, just like Putin's.
He has already thrown the constitution in the trash and tried to cheat on his last election. That is why he is in court. He is a cheater in the highest sense of the word. Cheats and steals and lies.
Great leader you want running this country... WTF!

Another thing they don't get is that America isn't made great by just saying so and thumping our chests like some schoolyard bully. True greatness is when others feel you are great. Anyone with overseas relatives or business connections will tell you that Trump made us a laughingstock in their eyes. Only things great about him are his ego, his capacity to lie, and his popularity with far too many clueless Americans.

This is a civil trial on Trump. Please study the law. It isn't stopping him from anything. And he has already been found guilty, this is just to determine what his fine is going to be.
But coming is his trial for his attempts to overthrow the election. A clear violation of the constitution and a big strike against democracy.
Just how stupid can people be? Apparently very stupid.

What exactly does "saving our democracy" mean to you, @rico? I'm sincerely curious.
When did The United States of America cease being a Republic, and become a Democracy?
You can call it whatever the fuck you want bro, but we were a few Trump cult members in positions of power away from the end of a couple hundred years of the PEACEFUL transfer of power. Now you may find all that “hilarious”, but many of us don’t.
