Here is the deal...he did neither. He fumbled the response and the economy. And you can have it both ways. Why can't both things work at the same time? Other economies have rebounded quicker because they were Able to stimulate, get a hold on the spread, reopen or manage more quickly. If you put the right economic stimulus into the economy at the moment certain sectors have to shit down, then they are still spending.To be fair, population is a HUGE factor. In 1918 the US population was 103 million. In 2020 it was 330 million. Do the math.
Of course the death toll was going to be proportionally higher.
Also Rico, you really cannot have it both ways. You can’t whine about the economy while simultaneously blaming Trump for not locking down businesses even harder to lower the Covid toll. Which is it? Do you want fewer deaths or a more robust economy? Gotta choose.
Of course this ignores the fact that Trump had little to do with “lockdowns” or business restrictions, as these are decisions left to governors and local officials.
He is now the food stamp and bankruptcy business king because he choked.
