Fu*%face Von Clownstick

The important thing to consider regarding the protests in the context of Covid19, is that they were held outside. Normal breezes and winds outside serve to rapidly dilute any airborne virus load below the threshold needed for infection. I listened to a recent interview with Dr. Michael Osterholm of CIDRAP. When asked about covid19 risks to protesters, he said something to this effect: "When we watched the protests, as healthcare professionals we were shocked to see so many people, after months of isolation, packed so closely together. Our next response though, was relief that they were for the most part outside. There certainly were people who were arrested and placed in confinement in enclosed transport vehicles, and who spent time enclosed in jails before being released, but for the most part, the protests were held in a much safer environment than, say an enclosed stadium."

Dr. Osterhold is the author of "Deadliest Enemy-Our War Against Killer Germs", which was just republished with a forward on Covid19. He also has a weekly podcast. I'd trust him regarding contagious diseases, like I'd trust Kim Coder or Ed Gilman regarding trees.

“Since 2015, Trump, his business or the Republican Party have sued or threatened to sue MSNBC, NBC, the Associated Press, the Daily Beast, Univision, an anti-Trump T-shirt maker, authors Michael Wolff and David Cay Johnston, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), former Ohio governor John Kasich (R), a Jeb Bush supporter, a super PAC, the Republican Party, sanctuary cities, former aide Steve Bannon, former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, the U.S. Golf Association, a 92-year-old widow in Scotland, the women who alleged he sexually assaulted them, the co-author of his own memoir, the Club for Growth, the Culinary Workers Union, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, the organizer of a “Dump Trump” campaign, the city of Minneapolis, and an artist who painted a nude of him.”

“Before that, he sued or threatened to sue the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, a Chicago Tribune architecture critic, Bill Maher, the now-deceased rapper Mac Miller, the Village Voice, ABC and the BBC, a random Twitter user, a woman critical of Trump University, a critic of his golf courses, a Miss USA contestant, Rosie O’Donnell, the Obama Justice Department, and the Onion.”

And now, a judge has ordered that Bolten's book can be published. Life is good.

If Trump's campaign manager was smart he'd schedule the next 15 rallies for outdoor venues. More virus-aware and he could pack 100,000 people into the right setting.

Take a look into what has just happened to Voice of America. Not good.

Had another Trump friendly venue in mind...

Nah, they can't even cover costs unless 60,000 or so show up. Trump couldn't even get the 19,000 that RSVP'd to show up...

Mr. Trump mocked the coronavirus that has killed 121,000 Americans and claimed he wanted to slow down testing, as he addressed a mostly maskless crowd in a 19,000-seat indoor arena in Tulsa that was sparsely filled.

You'd think they would spread out more, with all those empty seats.

Six of his own campaign managers in Tulsa have it before the rally even starts.

The whole Trump Tulsa debacle would be funny if it weren't so tragic. 6 of Trumps crew showed up early in Tulsa pre-infected with Covid. A bunch of mask-less fools pack into an indoor venue. Trump spewing lies, hate, ignorance, and deceit. A tiny crowd (6200) to go along with Trumps tiny hands and his tiny..

Are the MAGAnista finally tiring of this truly horrible human being?

Exactly as many as will result from the protests. You can’t condone massive protests and condemn a rally just because you disagree with the politics of the latter.

I actually agree with Buck on this. It hit me the other day when I saw nurses organizing for BLM. I realized, there are things that are worth the risk and people feel the need to show symbolic support by gathering and voicing their grievances. I was wrong and was being a Karen when people were protesting over the shut downs - let 'em have their voices heard.

If I hold free speech and expression as a top an value, then it has to available to all regardless of political affiliation.

Nonetheless, That rally last night was beyond pathetic.
