Friction Savers....PulleySaver

[ QUOTE ]
sounds like any other cool tool, do this ,dont do that, but one things for sure climbing on a pulley will save your shoulders and elbows and give you better friction hitch control for more fun moving through the tree,,,

Here's a photo of one I recently made. The smaller PINTO you cannot pull a regular ropeguide retrieval ball through the pulley. Do you guys use something else? I'm thinking of a trip to the hardware store to look for a smaller piece.

I use electrical tape on the throat of the spliced eye. I use a rope guide but its the same idea.

This is my best attempt. Tachyon with polymer insert in the eye. Quick release snap from a horse lead. 8mm OP spliced on the rig. I will probably never splice 8mm again. Its just way too hard, but Treestuff didn't have the spacers when I got my pinto. Also after trying a true pulley saver I am planning on getting one once Treestuff gets them.

This is my second pulley saver attempt. This time around I used the ART cocoon instead of the pinto. If you are like me and have no splicing ability, this set up works great. Retrieves perfect every time. Built on a special order 8 ft Sherrill footlocking prussic. Works well even on small diameter branches.
