Who needs rock climbing with tree bark like this? I ascended the tree using my traditional static line and trailed my dynamic rope into the tree. I built and anchor, hooked up my dynamic rope, rappelled to the ground, and got ready for some self-belayed free climbing. (In rock climbing, free climbing is defined as climbing rock while on belay. Free soloing is defined as climbing rock without any ropes for protection. Don't mix them up!) Check it out:
