Flowering Plums get PWNED by Oregon Snow

Took a drive today around Beaverton, west of Portland. I expected some breakage but was surprised by how many flowering plum branches and stems broke. Even an entire tree or two laying in the street.

Other pines, etc., got some breakage, but I think the Prunus with flowers give surface area for snow to stick to got hammered the worst.

Apparently, this was the latest measurable snow on record in the Portland area, and other cities here. Maybe 2" on the valley floor and 3" to 4" on the small hills.
