Fleets, lets see them!!

Brendon, great rig!

Here's our fleets, chiptruck - I hand painted the signwritng and injected cement into the tyres so I never get a flat.

Its fairly fuel efficient and can handle most jobs.

hey small word, ive got its younger brother over here in jersey we use as a wood truck, 1972 gmc, its been down for about a month now, brakes went bad and so did the bearings in the axel, good luck finding parts brother, i think it supposed to be up and running again today, no power steering, no air but the heat sure as heck works great, its by far the strongest dump truck ive ever seen, beats out most of the new dumps they got out there now as far as capasity and horsepower, ill take a pic today, ours doesnt look quite as pretty as yours though, im a bit jealous

I forgot to post a pic of our log truck, its sooo slow we retro fitted low profile alloys, new muffler and slicks in an attempt to make it go faster. It was taking 4 hours to travel 30 miles. Now though it takes on average 2.

Incidently after buying the truck we didn't have enough money for a hiab crane so all timber has to be cut small and thrown hard into the back.

Its all good.

You guys got some great rigs though.

Hey, they were good old trucks. The sad part is that I drove one just like this back in 1971. This truck has aged better than I have. It belonged to some farmer north of Detroit and he put a bunch of $$ into it bringing it back to near new condition and then made the mistake of selling it on ebay. I think we're going to put power steering on ours this year. Ours only has a 350 and the dump bed is a homemade heavy steel grain box so top speed is in the low 60s.
Regards,
Phil

Hey Phil,
what kind of chipper does the old girl pull?
Looks like a good parade truck.

We have a Morbark 2070 so weight isn't really an issue. It does disappear behind the truck so we had to put fender flags on the chipper. Even with those backing the chipper is an adventure. The only thing we added to the truck last year was a set of visible 4 way flashers in the back. On the 71's, the 4 ways were the brake lights so when you stepped on the brakes they quit flashing. We had a couple close calls when backing off the road. The flashers help.

Phil
