Fellow buzzer has passed

good to hear from you again Jon , kind of what happens when friends pass , hear from past friends . Whatever , the family and friends decide to do , just let me know , I for one would help out . I know the family is going through a hard time ,( under statement )and a word of advice , watch the wolves , people who act like they care and just want his business . Another chapter , seen that happen .

I was told to check out the buzz and am floored by what everyone is trying to do in Cameron's memory. Planting a tree is the absolute best idea..he himself has planted over a hundred trees on our property alone. To answer your question about what species, Cameron would go for the heartiest, least prone to disease, biggest, and strongest. It should stand tall and proud for our children and our children's children. Use your expert opinion, he loved them all. He could identify a tree going 60 miles an hour, tell me the Latin name, and what was wrong with it. Make him proud. Again, thanks for thinking of us, the kids are excited. I will keep checking in.

Yeah Riggs! I thought of that myself!!For sure. The wolves will show themselves to be what they are though brother that's a fact...
Mark,TOTALLY AGREE w the WHITE Oak. We have been replacing many of the leaf scorched reds that we removed, W Whites and Swamp Whites Which is another great Plant!!
I see this as a great thing w a warm and beautiful dedication .....once we get approval and date etc...Ill move to Hand select a tree...( if y'all are cool with that?).

Donations for the engraved stone and tree and other expenses for the memorial are being sent to Dave Botterbodt. Make checks payable to Dave and mail to 25 Wallace Ave Clementon NJ 08021. Everyone that donates willnbe named on a small bronze plague thanking them. The faster we get the order in on the stone engraving the quicker we can hokd the memorial service. Thanks for all your support on Cam's memorial.

I didn't mean to over step my boundaries reguarding the tree type , white oaks are awesome , I have them all around my house it's a great choice , I hope everyone stays safe , that's the main thing in what we do , take care And be cool .

I'd like to throw out a suggestion. What about setting an early spring date, possibly Arbor Day in NJ, and also making it a service day for the site. I think a lot of us who would have to make advance travel plans would like to be involved, I know I would. The service day could then be continued annually by the NJ guys as a continuing tribute to Cam. Thoughts?

The memorial service needs to be done as soon as we procure the funds for the plaque. This can't happen soon enough. I haven't received anything yet through the mail. I realize this was just posted yesterday. I however spoke with a few people who gave me verbal promises for a donation. I literary just quit my job and decided to go back on my own after years of working for people who gave me false promises and thought a new Harley was more important than a bucket truck inspection and repair. I also couldn't understand how my boss couldn't afford new ropes and saw chains but always had plenty of beer. So here I am ready to take on the world again. I was at my insurance guys office when Lee the crane guy told me the bad news. I landed a good job for this Monday and will be able to drop a deposit to get the ball rolling on the stone. The quote I got for the stone didn't include a bronze plaque naming all who donated. I don't think that will be necessary. I'd rather give the left over money to Cam's wife then spend it on a plaque with my name or anyone else's name that donated. I hope you all agree. The final conclusion for the tree is white oak. The stone should say " This tree was planted here in memory Cameron Lyon by his friends in the tree care industry" if anybody has any other ideas speak up before I drop the deposit.

Is there anyone out there good at designing newsletters or programs. Once I get a delivery date from the memorial vendor and we set the date for the memorial. I want to make a mailer to send to a few of the older tree guys Cam knew or something to put in the vestibule of the church he attended or wherever appropriate to ensure a decent showing at memorial service also anybody interested in speaking or contributing in planning and set up please contact me at 856-562-7920 call or text. My email is david@botterbrodt.com thank you once again.
