I have a Kask helmet and have always just used the husqvarna ear muffs. im looking to get some new muffs and was curious to hear what people have had good success with when using a Kask.
i need good hearing protection we do a lot of removals so its noise all day long. im sure a lot of the pelters probably fit the same but do they vary in sounds reduction a lot?
just curious of others experiences with different ones.
thanks ahead of time

These are amazing on the Kask. They are low profile and slim, super lightweight (they wont make your Kask try to slide off the back of your head). and they're hi viz.

The noise reduction is very high at 25 db, which most muffs are rated at, while being larger than this set.

I mount mine in the adaptors so I can take them off for rec climbing and pruning, but I think you can mount them straight to the Kask for a little tighter fit.

those are the ones i was thinking to get.
i actually wear mine on the front of my helmet instead of the back. i started doing it when i had a regular husky forestry helmet and have preferred it ever since

I just got a set of the pelter 25 db and I love them. Before that I used the 105's which have a 27 db. My old 105's were wearing out (springs, and the black squishy). The new ones are quieter compared to the warn out ones, lighter, and so slim I haven't hung up on branches yet. I do hate getting throw line tangled in them though!

The peltor 105s have worked well for me. I had a set of the lower profile muffs on my petzl at work and they wouldn't set on my ears when I moved them to my new kask (probably just worn out completely:frenetico:). The 105's are heavier but I don't notice it, the whole system is lighter than my fire helmet :D

I haven't had much luck with any earmuffs fitting the ear well on a Kask. Does anyone have a trick to fix this? I've heard people have mounted them straight to the helmet instead of into the adaptor, but I never tried it.
