Excel?

I'm trying to print client labels from quick books for doing a mailer. Is Excel the best way to go or is there a better way?
 
I started by manually entering all my clients into a MS Works data base. Works will "merge" the saved data base file to the mailing labels task so you can print your labels. It will work with a saved data base file from excel. I don't know about quick books but I don't see why not.
