Euro TCC

I was at the ETCC this weekend amazing genius the guys were getting great times on the footlock some were Using a blowtorch on there sticky boots before for extra grip.Ben Strasser demo'd the masters in what looked like to me pale Pink Ballat shoes.Didn't get a good look at them but they had ribbons that done up around his ankles.I left before the end so I don't know the final results.I hope some of the others who were there will write in with some more info again Amazing

Tihi, very funny.
Seriously, I'm sorry if I gave the false impression
that the winner in the STCC footlock was using
rockclimbing shoes, obviously he wasn't.
But what's so strange about suggesting the use
of sticky shoes for footlocking? Have you actually tried?
I'm definately entering the STCC next year.
I'll be the one entering the masters tree with an extendable
ladder.

Just a bit of info to keep you all up to speed with the ETCC, an official press release and photos will be issued ASAP, it is being created in conjunction with ISA / Stihl GB and Westonbirt Arboretum, for those of you wanting the results click www.isa-uki.org and look within the TCC section, what i will say is it was an amzing event, not only some fantastic climbing and great trees but also the number of people that came to support the UK&I was outstanding, I have a lot of thank yous' to send out and intend to do that by personally writing to the main players of the event, for those that attended and will read this post "Thank-you" it made the organising worth while. A lot of bridges were bulit, new freinds made and of course great to catch up with some old faces. And noting from another thread the footlock was 50' - why the hell not, we had no complaints, set in a Scots Pine by Rip T himself. Managed to rig the electronic timing board so the crowd got to see the times, a must for the ITCC, so i think RT is on a mission with that one.
