Ok the one question that I have is on the back pad...where the velcro sticks to itself to hold the saddle together pretty much....is really thick on my buddys saddle...and we even cut it to his size but that velcro layers are so thick....is this normal?
The thickness of the velcro and webbing is due to the design. The back pad can un-velcro from the work positioning "D" rings and either be swapped out or replaced.
Also the way the work positioning "D" rings adjust the webbing overlaps past the buckle.
If you post a pic of your situation I would be more than happy to offer a few suggestions.
Other than the length the Gamma suspension (as you are referring to as the glide)is quite similar in balance and mobility to the Omega suspension(currently sold on the Ergovation)
The Gamma suspension will be available in mid summer 2009 as well as several other types of suspension additions stay tuned!!
I had received several questions about the size of the plates on the Omega Suspension of the Ergovation, and their ability to fit a snap on the end of a lanyard so here is a pic, of my setup.
Thanks for your support, if you have any questions or comments I'd love to here them, and that goes for any Ergovation owners, or those considering. I try to keep up with my posts, however, sometimes it lapses, with my work schedule.
I want to know when the glide bridge will be available for the ergo and the stiff leg loops. I already own the ergo but I'm ready to ditch these rigging paw style d rings.
Saddle is great, I just wish the extra attachments would come out sooner
Great thread. Have to tell you I've climbed in many saddles and love my Ergo. Yes, even though it's heavier than my other saddles (6), the lumbar support is incredible. My back in not sore after climbing..... a beautiful thing. The other fantastic feature is you can buy the size that fits you. No S-M-L-XL etc. The saddles are 32,33, 34 etc., awesome!
Come to NEC-ISA TCC on May 1-3 and I will let you try mine.
Yes the SRT can be used with the quick connect buckle on the waist, attached is a pic of how this is achieved. There are many custom fits with the Ergovation, depending climbing style, use, and fall protection requirements.
