equipment to be put on Truck?

A handled tarp or two. I rarely carry a can on smaller jobs, and tarps can be used like packing-peanuts to keep saws from bouncing around, preventing damage to things like switches, primer bulbs, etc. Chaps help with this, too.

Flashlights/ headlamps.

The other thing needed if doing a lot of street work with beacons on is a jump starter; unless you leave ignition on, burn fuel, and fill up aircon with sawdust...

this is what my tool boxes look like, made out of steal with two compartments. I believe there 5.5 feet across, with doors on each side. But I need a way to prevent the saws from moving around and everything else too any suggestions would be helpful. 73A905C6-04E2-4636-9D90-B866C6B89ABE.webp

Have see a lot of guys weld bits of metal around where saw sits to stop sliding, but if have a big bounce can crack base of saws...

About to try cutting of conveyor belt myself, similar to a shadow board but for the bases of saws... seen carpet used but seems to become a slip-mat for saws....

Other way is to have fixed sheaths for the saws bars...

O would like to experiment mounting in a box with the bar high só no leakage of bar oil.
But I don’t have a box yet wide enough to do that for the ms660 as I currently have to place it at an angle to get in box (benefit is it doesn’t slide, is lockable, and is relatively easy to get in and out of box, but it means can’t have other saws next to it so not very efficient use of space...

Looks like you could cut a piece of plywood to fit each shelf. Then on the plywood you can add blocks of wood for stops for each saw or other equipment. Easy to add or change as you go with the addition of more tools or replacing saws with different models... Added benefit is that all screws and holes will be in the plywood base, so it doesn't alter the toolbox itself if you sell it in the future

Maybe eye bolts or hooks and throw line scraps or paracord for tie downs.
I do have some eye hooks and other hooks already in the tool box for ropes to be hung. but i'll have to build something out of wood to prevent the saws and tools from sliding around. I will post some photos when I get it done but if anyone else has a similar idea or has done it already on there truck post some photos please!

Our new truck coming along, adding a tool box under the flat bed for climbing gear, tool box behind the cab for ropes, and a custom box under the headache rack for the pole saw!

Ur boxes aren’t as deep as mine. Guess I’ll be modded it as best as I can. But I thanks for the ideas.
