I watched every second of his testimony. Literally fist pumped during his opening statement. As for his temperament, I assume you are objecting to him showing flashes of anger at being falsely accused of being a serial gang rapist on national television. I thought he showed great restraint.
The burden is not on him to prove his innocence. Its on her to prove his guilt. Or have we moved past that quaint old keystone of American jurisprudence with the advent of #MeToo? Yes, I know this wasn't a trial or courtroom, but perjury still applied and due process still exists. Not to mention the fact that she had literally no proof. All four of her "corroborating witnesses" not only didn't corroborate her testimony, they actively refuted it. Couldn't even swear to remembering the party. Gotta have more than 36 year old accusations to ruin a man's life. Oh wait... no you don't.
Here's the thing: I don't think she's lying. I'm sure something like this did happen to her 30 some years ago. But I think she's either conflating or embellishing memories. Human memory is notoriously fallible, which is the main reason for statutes of limitation. The further removed in time you are from an event, the foggier and less reliable your recollection of it becomes.
But despair not Rico. I have total faith that the Republicans will go soft and find a way- any way- to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And there will be an epic blue wave in November if they do. People like me will realize theres no point to giving them power. They typically don't even seem to know they're in a fight. In my experience if two people are fighting, and one doesn't know it, he gets his ass kicked. So yeah, things are probably gonna work out nicely for dems.
