DMM Harness

I rock this on my Treemo Evo and love it. Very comfy and adjustable. Looks like they have a Kinisi version already.

Looks like it would be really hot in the summer time.

spoke with beddes and puk at the german treecare conference in augsburg, they will come out with suspenders. also a version of the kinisi without the adjustable bridge and later a light version… and much more :)
I had a good feeling they were gonna be putting more gear out. Also wondering if they’ll announce a partnership with another rope manufacturer

Good video thanks. Presenter does a really good job explaining. Has anyone an idea of the approximate price for the whole kit they show as the "decked out for work" harness? Just curious, as we have to pay with our world famous and broadly laughed at "Highly Devalued Canadian Loonie Almost A Not Really Dollar" up here and then we're taxed on top. Bet up here it gets up to about two grand for whole shebang . . . .

Good on DMM for making a back pad on the small that is actually made for someone with a small frame. Many manufacturers these days are making back pads that are so tall (even on a small) that they are counterproductive to creating back support.

I might be a princess, I’d like a bridge without a sewn end and to be able to trim the tails.. everything else seems perfect.

If you're not squeemish about sewing your bridge tails back up, then you're all set with a needle and thread.

August/ New Tribe talked about adjustable bridges when they first introduced the Monkey Beaver some years ago. And way before this, Tom Dunlap and Richard Mumford messed around with adjustable bridges (Richard has a video about 9 years ago using a CT RollnLock). I bet there's a parallel universe somewhere over in Europe too. Thanks to DMM and to Taylor for doing these Kinisi videos. DMM (and TreeImagineers/ Teufelberger) do a good job explaining their products I believe, as does Treestuff (always kudos to Nick and crew) and Barlett. Enjoy too watching some European vendors and shops from UK, France and Germany for a different slant on things.

I find my self mildly interested in a Kinisi. I've been very happy with my MB 1.0. Been thinking of picking up a 2.0 for regular rigging. Lighten up my 1.0 for the crane work. Every ounce counts when riding the ball 6 plus hours a day. At the price of the Kinisi, I'll definitely stick with the MB. May have @rico restring my origional Matt Cornell saddle .... if he's interested.

Crane saddle, rigging saddle, and the MC for full pruning jobs.
Ehh....just babbling. Carry on.

Oh, I will say, I have a single adjustable bridge on the MB for one main reason only. Some already know I have a bad hip. It's hard for me to reach my foot. I like to put my gaffs on first because of this. It's can be a bitch stepping through the bridge this way at times. With a long bridge, I grab it and the suspenders at the same time, sling the suspenders over my shoulders, And drop the bridge in front of me. I do shrink any bridge for spar work. Normal length or not.

I've been working on a pretty big job that's basically all just falling and chipping, so there's been very few opportunities to use my kinsi since it got here. I got to use it yesterday and today for a little bit really nice, it seems like everything the tm pro should've been the pads feel significantly better than the ones on my pro the legs definitely are more comfortable nice to have a ring in the back again, side Ds are better placed imo.

So could just be me but I have been cruising the web last night and found maybe an odd thing - lots of places to buy the Kinisi harness but not so much all the bits and pieces you may need to "customize" it it seems. Some websites have some stuff, some have other stuff and some appear to sell just the bare bones harness. Has anyone else found this in their experience too, or when you order one the harness the vendor just comes out with a list of stuff you could add? Cuz frankly not sure all the new things DMM may have come up with that might not occur to me would be handy on a new harness (and yeah I've watched the DMM videos with the Kinisi on YouTube).

Mine came with some basic customization stuff hard plastic loops and the hardware for them, didn't say anything about it when I ordered but it was in there I know there are more things you can add like the tube for a knee ascender bungee but I already have one I made so no need to spend the extra$.
